virtual therapy for teens and young adults navigating neurodivergence, Anxiety, and relationships in california and colorado

I’m glad you’re here.

I specialize in teens and young adults who are neurodivergent or highly sensitive and struggle with anxiety, perfectionism, relationship stress, people-pleasing, burn out, and self-criticism. My practice is a space where unmasking is welcomed and self-love is possible.

You may be someone who thinks deeply, feels things intensely, and holds yourself to impossibly high standards. You may spend a lot of time overthinking, re-reading texts, worrying about getting things wrong, or comparing yourself to others. You may put enormous pressure on yourself to succeed in school, work, relationships, or life in general. Even when you're doing well, you may struggle to recognize your accomplishments or feel like you're never doing enough. You may be exhausted from being so hard on yourself.

Therapy can be a space to slow down, understand yourself, and figure out what you actually want and need. Together, we can work on understanding and embracing your sensitivity as a strength, learn to set boundaries without guilt, reduce emotional overwhelm, navigate relationships without losing yourself, and build confidence, self-compassion, and resilience in a way that work with your brain and nervous system.

My goal isn’t to help you become a more acceptable or productive version of yourself. It’s to help you build a relationship with yourself that feels gentler, more understanding, more compassionate, and authentic.

You don’t have to have it all figured out before you come to therapy. You’re allowed to be figuring it out. And we can do it together.

Madison Dennis, LMFT

I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist licensed in California (133162) and Colorado (0002538). I believe seeking therapy is an act of courage, strength, and vulnerability. I provide compassionate space for healing and growth by integrating psychodynamic processing, DBT, CBT, and ACT. My practice is neurodiversity-affirming, queer-affirming, and social justice oriented. My style is warm and direct, sprinkled with humor and occasional curse words to keep it real. I look forward to meeting you!
